Diesel needs a different inspection

A petrol engine that turns over and holds compression is usually a straightforward sale. A common-rail diesel is not: the value sits in the turbo, the injectors and the head, and any of the three can turn a good-looking engine into a warranty claim.

So we grade this family harder. Turbo shaft play, injector condition and evidence of overheating are all part of the photo set. If a unit is questionable it goes to Grade C for rebuild rather than into a Grade A container.

What buyers do with these

Two very different customers buy 2KD and 1KD. Fleet workshops replace engines in working pickups and want Grade A with warranty. Rebuild shops buy Grade C and Core by lot, recondition them locally and sell at a margin that Grade A pricing would not allow.

Both are good business. Tell us which one you are before we build the quote, because the right grade mix is completely different.

Ask for the current list and a price

Tell us your destination country, the codes you need and the container size. We reply within one business day — usually within hours — with photos, the grade split and container-load pricing.

Frequently asked

Are injectors and the turbo included?

On Grade A, yes, and their condition is part of the inspection. On Grade B and C, we state exactly what is fitted.

Do you supply these for Innova and Hiace as well?

Yes — the same engine families cover those platforms.

Can I order a container of Core diesel units for rebuilding?

Yes. Core sells by lot and by weight to remanufacturers, without warranty, and it is the cheapest way to fill a container.
